Explanation of frequently repeated terms.

Description
PSD2
Payment Service Directive. The European Payment Service Directive defining third party access rules for bank clients' accounts.
SBAS
Slovak Banking API Standard.
TPP
Third Party Provider. Third party service provider in the PSD2 context. This is a specific merchant who provides one of the defined services. The document also includes the name as "subject".
STATUS
The current state of the subject in the bank. There are five different states (unregistered, registration request, registered, unregistered, blocked).
SCOPE
Operations regarding client's account. It is divided into three areas - PISP, AISP, PIISP (abbreviation under SBAS methodology).
AISP
Account Information Service Providers. A service that allows authorized third-party access to a client's bank account summary, including balance information on the account.
PISP
Payment Initiation Service Providers. Possibility to initiate a payment order from a client's bank account without having access to the bank's internet banking.
PIISP
Payment Instrument Issuer Service Providers. A service that allows you to query whether the status of the funds on the client's account is enough to make certain payments. YES / NO is sent as a response to the question.
API
Application Programming Interface. Interfaces issued by a bank to allow third parties access to their clients' accounts. Using the API, third parties will register with the bank, access accounts, and execute payment operations. The adopted Berlin standard defines the requirements for the form of this interface and the way of security and verification.

Resource is addressable by URI (Uniform Resource Identifier).
IBAN
International Bank Account Number.
PSU
Payment Service User.
PSD2 IS
Identity Server.
